Behind the scenes at Manly Art Gallery – Ross Heathcote and Katherine Roberts with painting by James R. Jackson called Middle Harbour from Manly Heights who will exhibit in a few weeks. His ming vase and brushes on the table

“It’s the paper that won a Manly Daily art competition in 1923 and led to the establishment of the Manly Art Gallery in 1930. … [it] will exhibit paintings by Jackson, many of which have been borrowed from other museums, galleries and private collections.
It has been curated by Brigitte Banziger and David Hulme, and will be opened by art historian and publisher Lou Klepac on Friday, December 7….”
