BANZIGER HULME FINE ART – EXPERT ART VALUERS AND ART DEALERS IN SYDNEY
Banziger Hulme Fine Art Consultants was founded by David Hulme and Brigitte Banziger in 2003. Today, we are one of the most respected Art dealers in Sydney, specialising in high quality art valuations and tailor-made advice. This is based on solid analysis and deep knowledge of the Australian and international art market.
Here are some more details about us as an Online Art Appraisal Specialist
Brigitte Banziger and David Hulme are members of the Art Consulting Association of Australia, with David a registered valuer member, and he has been an approved valuer for the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program since 2007.
We provide art valuation for Australian and international artworks on a daily basis for private, company and public collections. We are equally used to appraising the best-known names in art as well as researching and valuing the works of lesser-known artists.
We provide both replacement and market values, as the valuations are needed for a variety of reasons, for example art valuation for insurance purposes, valuation for probate and deceased estates, family division, superannuation or disposal of works.
We value artworks in all media, that is oil paintings, works on paper, prints, photographs and sculpture. When appraising art, we research and analyse comparable works in order to put our assessment of an artwork into perspective and provide completely transparent valuations for our clients. Relevant circumstances of a work, such as condition and provenance, are given the attention they require.
Banziger Hulme Fine Art Consultants are not art dealers nor do they run an art gallery. We act solely as valuers, consultants and agents for our clients in the case of the valuation, sale or purchase of art, and can therefore provide arm’s length unbiased advice.
We attend all major fine art auctions in Sydney and Melbourne. This direct exposure provides us with first-hand experience of the development of market values of Australian art in all its diversity. Equally, we follow closely the trends in the international art market.
This enables us to help our collector clients build museum quality art collections, and we represent some of the biggest private collectors of art in Australia. These collections have been assembled over ten to fifteen years. However, in our experience, buying museum quality art does not require unlimited funds, but relies much more on strategic acquisition from the right sources. Today, numerous artworks from the collections of our clients (and our own) have been included in important exhibitions in major public art galleries in Australia and overseas.
