The second of the big spring auctions at Deutscher + Hackett ranges from super-contemporary sculptures by Alex Seton and Sam Jinks to rare colonial works such as equine artist Frederick Woodhouse senior, and everything in between in 117 lots. There is also a small but sophisticated selection of international works on paper by Lucian Freud, Sean Scully, Frank Auerbach and Henry Moore at budget-friendly prices.
Deutscher and Hackett open their Sydney preview on Thursday, 8 September at 55 Oxford Street (corner Pelican Street), Surry Hills, until Monday, 12 September.
The auction is held in Sydney on Tuesday, 13 September, 7 pm, at the National Art School in the Cell Block Theatre.
