“It has the potential to be in the top 10 of prices paid for one of this artist’s works’, fine art dealer David Hulme, of Manly’s Banziger Hulme, said. ….
“Phillips Fox contacted his Melbourne dealer when he and his wife moved to the northern beaches after living abroad. He wrote: ‘I hope to get a few good seascapes – the colour is very fine at Manly’.”
Mr Hulme said the image in the painting was a credit to successive councils for retaining the landscape of the Fairy Bower area. …
