In the first of this spring’s fine art auctions, Sotheby’s present a tightly curated sale of 68 lots.
The auction on 31 August in Sydney offers works ranging from the rare – a sublime portrait by Emma Minnie Boyd, the grandmother of Arthur – to the prolific, represented by four Arthur Streetons and five paintings by Sidney Nolan, and to the very contemporary with works by Del Kathryn Barton, Linde Ivimey and Brook Andrew.
Visit the preview in Melbourne from 17 to 20 August, at 41 Exhibition Street, and in Sydney from 25 – 31 August at 30 and 34 Queen Street, Woollahra.
The auction will be held on Wednesday, 31 August, 6.30 pm, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Sydney.
